1973-Present- Artist Stanley J. Shetka has been the creator and owner of the WORLD ART PROJECT® (WAP®) since its inception in 1973. The project is an ambitious undertaking to create one massive work of art by incorporating a significant personal item or substance from every person on Earth. This collective narrative, constructed from individual stories, aims to highlight our shared humanity and connect people across diverse cultures and borders. Shetka believes in the transformative power of creativity, and the WAP is a direct reflection of that belief—a tapestry woven from countless human experiences.
