1973-Present: WORLD ART PROJECT® Artist Stanley J. Shetka conceived and began conceptualizing the WORLD ART PROJECT® in 1973 while attending Wimbledon School of Art, Wimbledon, England. Stanley Shetka is the sole creator and has continued to evolve the WORLD ART PROJECT® (WAP®) since its inception. undertaking to create one massive work of art by incorporating a significant personal item or substance from every person on Earth. This collective narrative, constructed from individual stories, aims to highlight our shared humanity and connect people across diverse cultures and borders. Shetka believes in the transformative power of creativity, and the WAP is a direct reflection of that belief-a tapestry woven from countless human experiences.
